Kelly Clarkson sampled a cannabis cookie during a recent visit to Amsterdam, the pop singer tells USA Weekend. "It is legal there and it is not here," she says about Holland's friendly pot policy. "I don't do anything illegal here." Adding her name to the ever-expanding list of pro-pot stoner starlets, Clarkson noted: "I have never smoked anything. I've never tried any drugs. I wouldn't do anything that would cause holes in your brain or your nasal cavity. Call me Texan, but I don't think of marijuana like that."

AL GORE'S SON ARRESTED FOR POSSESSION

Al Gore III, 24, was driving a blue Toyota Prius about 100 mph on the San Diego Freeway when he was pulled over at about 2:15 a.m., Sheriff’s Department spokesman Jim Amormino said.

The deputies said they smelled marijuana and searched the car, Amormino said. They found less than an ounce of marijuana along with Xanax, Valium, Vicodin and Adderall, which is used for attention deficit disorder.


Gore was released on $20,000 bond. He was also arrested for pot possession in December 2003, in Bethesda, Md.
